Flashed by Hadecs3 camera M4 Eastbound (Somerset)

Hi everyone,
I was travelling up to London very early this morning in the dark and I was flashed by the Hadecs3 system on M4 Eastbound around Somerset. I didn't even know these systems existed until I spent hours researching whether it was a speed camera rather than a lorry or something.
First time I've been flashed since getting my licence. Anyways, I understand that this would be classed as Avon and Somerset Police who supposedly have a 10% + 2 leniency, as well as the ACPO guidance stating that 79 is the suggested cut-off for issuing a ticket or offering a SAC.
Suppose I had a GPS speed of 78, what is the likelihood of expecting that dreaded letter in the post? Anyone have any experience with this particular camera? I've spent hours searching through forums and there aren't many people who've specifically mentioned this camera.
UPDATE: It's been over 14 consecutive days since I was flashed by this camera. There have been two bank holiday weekends (Christmas and New Year) in between and I haven't received anything in the post. If I get a late NIP I will update the thread, but for now, I assume these cameras issue tickets at 79 rather than 78.

The guidelines stating you're safe until 79 are exactly that, guidelines, so you can be caught at lower speeds although it would be unusual.
As for the GPS speed of 78 you're playing with fire there plus a GPS reading can lose signal and become inaccurate, etc, etc, so I wouldn't be surprised if you did stray to the unholy 79.
On the flip side you could be lucky and the cameras could be calibrating themselves as they sometimes do.
IMO could go either way for you, best of luck and personally I stick to 76 for the above reasons.

Thanks for the reply. Let's say for example I was sitting at 80 indicated on the speed limiter for a while and this correlated to 78 mph on the dash cam speed over a long enough time for it to be accurate. I am guessing this was the section around Bristol? If it is those cameras are set to 77mph even if there is no other restrictions.
They enforce it rigidly and catch many from outside the are.
I have had a few new drivers caught out by that. I never blast past and Hadec bases. There is a post with a camera normally a few metres before the gantry with the camera on them. I always slow down where ever they are in the country as you never know

tless)Would this dashcam by any chance be a series 2 Nextbase dashcam with the blue 7-segment speed display? Have one myself and it's bloody useful on the smart section of the M1 in the midlands at 2AM haha.
From other replies here sounds Avon & Somerset might have got one over on you, unfortunate!

Evidently I know they can issue a ticket for any speed but ACPO recommends 79 as the cut-off so theoretically if I was doing 78 and Avon and Somerset went by the ACPO guidance they might not give a ticket.
Apparently speed awareness courses are offered between 10% + 2 and 10% + 9 (according to ACPO and my local speed awareness course website.
I will update this thread in due course and let you know if I get a ticket.

Are you suggesting you have had drivers caught out at 77? If so you will be the first ever so please post a copy of the NIPThey enforce it rigidly and catch many from outside the are.
