Both gantry and average cameras - Stafford?
Discussion
I noticed today that there are both average cameras and the new gantry cameras along the M6 from Stafford services / Stafford. The first average camera has the not in use sign but subsequent ones do not. The gantry system is also live as they had 60mph speed limit showing on them. All lanes open and no roadworks as such that I saw.
Does anyone know if both average cameras and gantries live or only the gantries? Thanks!

Does it matter? Surely you travel at (or below) the limit shown on the last sign. Maybe I don't understand the question.Does anyone know if both average cameras and gantries live or only the gantries? Thanks!
I assume the average speed camera are left over from the road works. The limit and enforcement will be from the new HADECS.
Are there 'fixed' 50 signs still about on that section?
It has been recently 'opened' having had a fixed 50 on it for some years.
I travelled the section from J14 onwards towards Birmingham the other week and noticed the gantries were showing a reduced limit - but then it was foggy. For those not familiar with this section, the significance was they were ON whereas they have been present but unused for a long time (all lane running upgrade).
