Total train weight allowed when towing

I passed my b+e license a couple of years ago.

Am I right in thinking that I am still allowed to have a total train weight of 7 tonnes?

I need to tow a 3.2 tonne trailer.

Both my X5 and Iveco have a 3.5t towing capacity. I'm right in thinking the Iveco can be filled to 3.5t and also pull the trailer totalling just under 7t?

You can usually drive a vehicle and trailer with a combined weight of up to 8,250kg MAM. View your driving licence information to check.

You’re also allowed to drive a minibus with a trailer over 750kg MAM.

If you got your licence from 1 January 1997
You can tow a trailer that weighs up to 3,500kg MAM.
