Driving is just not fun anymore it's more a chore to keep to the speed limit, glad I have speed limiter and active cruise control, as I might aswel just go to sleep behind the wheel.

Sometime before that’s accepted as evidence, but I’ve given in speeding now. Too risky and gets you to the next Toyota Yaris traffic jam faster.

Could I be tempted to take some videos who pass our house well over the limit? I suppose I could!

I read it as they have just made it a bit easier to take a photo(s) and send them in. They also have to still get the app up and running, so I think unless they are pre-empting the vehicle(s) then it will probably be gone or have slowed down by the time they are taking pictures.

I see little purpose in them pushing for increased speed enforcement measures when new type approved cars will have mandatory limiters from later this year anyway.

Yes, it is totally nuts.
But I'm not worried about it, don't think it'll catch on and see little point in speeding these days.The amount of traffic limits any meaningful progression.

If you are suggesting any speed should go unreported on any road then you are guilty of the closed mindedness you were accusing others of the other day.

It is possible to be an enthusiast and consider motorway speeds inappropriate in housing estates.

Ah, the famous urban speeding legend everyone is trying to catch. Normally results in operation speed check, requested by the local community and enforced by the local old bill. Resulting in 25 fines, 15 over 50's doing 35 in a 30, 8 mums doing 37 and 2 members of the council who forgot the called the rozzers in.

Urban speed legend slowed down because waze told him too.

I can’t speak for Spidersleg but the road I reference isn’t ever going to have speed enforcement so don’t worry all night. Too little volume of traffic frankly. And far better uses of time for the police if they did wish to spend some time in the area.

Of course motorway speeds in housing estates are ridiculous and should be reported.

The chocolate bar was intended to be comic but still illustrate a point. Trend is towards Snitchers' Paradise which is how the old East Germany operated. I would rather not follow their example.

How much are the credits? Given that people will not spend 5p on a carrier bag, or even a small amount for their health, only if something is free, then I can't see this having legs.

Plus, as said many times, speed is one issue, but there's plenty of bellend driving within the speed limit!
