Accident Management Company any good ones?
Discussion
Not going to get many friendly replies on this I know.
Does anyone have experience of any "half decent" accident management companies?
I had 2 cars smashed into last week (whilst parked) by a drunk driver. Driver was caught at the scene with witnesses to prove who was driving. So far I've had one of my insurance companies fob me off via text with a 60% of market value offer for one of the cars, no hire car to replace it in the meantime (because they've jumped in with the it's a "write-off" play) and told me to wait 4 weeks for any sort of response from them.
One AMC has gone through the motions and then run off at the last minute, as they think they might not get their money back as there's a chance the DD will claim it wasn't them driving.

To close this one out.
My Insurance company were useless.
Accident management companies, at first were interested until I mentioned drunk driver, 2 cars being involved, then they ran a mile. None of them were interested once a month had passed either.
I did however get success after I managed to find out who she was insured with. Dealing with her insurance company (Hastings Direct) has been a little painful but I finally spoke to the assessor today, who was a very friendly and helpful chap and I have figures for repairing / replacing both cars.
Just need to wait for audit approval.
If this ever happens to you, as a minimum and if you can of course. Get a photo of the person, the car reg, the accident as it was and critically, their insurance company. With that you can make progress. Without, you'd have to go begging to the MID I would assume.

Daughter's car was written off when rear-ended and even LV=, her own insurer, were crap. We'd never suffered a write off in the family before and I hadn't realised you get pretty well abandoned - not great if you rely on having a car and don't have a spare one.
Also turned out the insurers of the Argos van never responded to the claim until LV threatened legal action.

Going through a claim where I was hit from behind.
His Insurance Company (Markerstudy) used Vehicle Replacement Group. I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone not to use them.
Sounds very much par for the course for anything to do with Markerstudy. His Insurance Company (Markerstudy) used Vehicle Replacement Group. I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone not to use them.

t shouldn't happen to innocent people and I'm glad I'm not in your situation, but at least you seem to be getting to a solution.
