What are these?

Sorry no photos but hopefully someone can identify

Saw yesterday in roadworks and placed in random locations around a local industrial estate (including 3 in one office car park)

Approx 4 ft high and 8-10 inches square, mounted on small tripods

Painted dark blue with reflective yellow stickers

Reflectors / sensors arranged pretty much down the full height on at lest two of the 4 sides

Looked to be placed too randomly to be speed cameras but struggling to think what else they could be

Without pictures, they sound like rise-and-fall bollards. Though these are usually round, and smaller in diameter.

I think looking at the website maybe a foil lined bin bag to stop it phoning home and a bit of expanding foam in the siren?

These will shout at you if you stray into the area, usually in a menacing Northern Irish accent as if you’re messing with a paramilitary outfit!

Box is armoured, tracked and an operator can view them.

Security is one aspect, the other I understand is to protect the owner from claims of injury from folk who stray into the site deliberately or not.
