Replacing existing number plate. Online sellers?

You can buy road legal plates this way but they call them 'show plates'. I've done this before but more recently, many of these companies wanted me to upload docs which I didn't want to.
I've also found that buying online is cheaper but the quality isn't great and they have faded. Just my experience.
Recently I've bought them from Halfords - metal backed and good quality.

Plenty of suppliers of fully legal plates on ebay.
You need to provide some document support.
I've bought a few plates for trailers over the years.
Some years ago, the rules were a bit different and it was less hassle to buy plates from a Scottish ebayer than an English one.
That seems to have changed now.
