Flashed in Europe - what happens now?

I drive to Poland and back once or twice a year, and usually there is little visible police presence on the motorways in France, Belgium, Holland or Germany.
Last year I got ticket in Belgium from a camera van. The Belgian system seemed efficient, as the ticket was waiting on my door mat when I got back home after being away for a week.
I was also flashed by a fixed camera near Berlin just 3 weeks ago, but nothing has come in the post yet, although I was only marginally over the limit at the time.
I've not yet had any tickets from Germany, but I know from friends who also drive to Poland, that they have had tickets reach them in the UK before.
I don't think that any points accrued in Europe will count on your UK licence, as this has never been the case before, and I highly doubt that it will have changed since Brexit.

I got flashed in March by a camera on the French motorway (as did another car in our convoy). Haven't heard anything (either of us) yet.
We were both doing about 120kph and hadn't realised the limit had dropped from 130 to 110. The other two cars following reacted to us reacting to the flashes (braking) and didn't get flashed

If you get anything through from Belgium - and you plan to drive the same car in Belgium again - it would be best to pay the fine. Should you return to Belgium in the same car with outstanding fine(s) and be unfortunate enough to get stopped, you'll have to pay on the spot or they'll impound your car. Admittedly the chance of this happening is small, so long as you don't drive at silly speeds or do anything else to attract attention.What happens now? Do we get fines through the post? I set a camera off in Germany, near the Harz in 2018.
Later I received a cool photo of me driving my car, addressed to the "Fuhrer des PKW" and a ten euro fine.
A joy to receive and a bargain.
Last year, post brexit, same thing happened in Frieburg. No photo this time for the same cost of a MSV Brands etc. snap, and no longer addressed as , "Fuhrer". Just another Brexit loss of connection with our generous and open minded European cousins.
In France on the Peage going towards Calais, quite often the, "flash" is only that. It slows the non-locals down, but it's only that...a flash, even if travelling at or near to the limit.
edit: Also, last year I was pulled over by a Gendarme near Grenoble. I had my 100 euros cash all ready to hand over, going on past experience. However, this time, probably due by lucky chance that my son, who lives in Paris and speaks french was with me. I think he basically said in french, that I was an old fella and an idiot or something, and, suitably amused the gendarme freely handed back my driving licence.

The police don't care. If they stop you, you have 2 choices - pay, or they seize the car. As there is no points system, they don't care who was driving - the fine is registered against the number plate.
What if you’ve just bought the car, drive through Belgium (or wherever) and get collared for the previous owners unpaid fines?
