Do you mean you moved forward to take a right turn?, which is ok for yellow box markings, even if your stuck (and it turned red) by a build up preventing you turning right.
Every time I got stuck I went as early as I could, including light still being red as I was stuck and on road and never had an issue when yellow box road marking cameras.

If the light was green or amber when you had completely crossed the line then it's arguable. i.e. if you've been pinched for this and that's why you're asking.
But if you were in a line of 3 or 4 cars waiting to turn right and your nose had gone over the white line at green/amber but you then wanted to carry on after the lights had changed and the rear of your car was still behind the line then I'd say fair cop.

If you've fully passed the stop line whilst waiting to turn right on green, then your lights change to red, you won't be committing an offence by completing your manoeuvre.There'll be a sensor before the line, and one after. Or the camera will take a video. Or both. Along those lines anyway. If you don't trigger the first sensor, then the second won't be an issue.
What happened was, went passed the first set of traffic lights but had to stop, I was only a little past the first set.
Lights went to red, so I waited for them to go to green before turning right.
I should have really stopped before the line but I noticed the lights change late so I stopped after the line but before it went to red.
1: went past the first line
2: realised i went through too late
3: stopped
4: light changed to red
5: light changed to green
6: turned right.

If I understand your situation, you went through the lights and past the stop line, before the lights turned red. You then waited to turn right but was impeded by traffic. You could then have turned right as soon as the traffic was clear, irrespective of any light. You then just needed to proceed and drive with care and attention, and consideration of others. There is no traffic light offence.

If you've passed the STOP line when the light was on green or amber then you'll be fine.
Ever so slightly OT, but I once triggered a red light camera in France. I was always taught to pull right up to the line and then stop, which I did (it seems many people assume that once you can no longer see the line past your bonnet - you're over it). It triggered the camera but as I was stationary it took 2 identical images. Pedestrians around me all jeered as if to suggest I would get a letter, but I never did.
The offence is committed if any part of the vehicle proceeds beyond the stop line with the red light showing.
Ignoring for now the prohibition conveyed by the amber only light (stop, unless unsafe etc), it's not an offence to continue across a junction against a red, as long as the entire vehicle had passed beyond the stop line before the lights changed to red.

I'd read that as if nose goes over it before wheels... catching people starting off too early etc.. If cars mostly over, and risks obstructing traffic coming from right after onwards in other direction stops while it switches to traffic from right, I'd likely just go to avoid holding people up.
Are many cameras on dedicated right turn lanes though? happens an awful lot on one I used to use, was incredibly common.
