Friend has just asked if I can offer advice on a NIP for D&C on the A30, DATED 08/07/2022 for an offence on the 02/04/22.

Its a lease car but that delay is long!

Not that long really. Up to two weeks to send the NIP out.

28 days for the lease company. Then there isn’t a time limit for the next ones to be sent out.

It could also be that the lease company didn’t reply within 28 days and a reminder was sent out.

I would think that being expected to remember who was driving a car at a particular hour on a particular day more than 3 months ago is unreasonable. It's one of the reasons that NIP has to be served within 14 days.

It could be the OP’s mate, given they’re the one leasing it. Probably as good a starting point as any for identifying the driver.

Must just be the leasing company lag, he was surprised not seen one take 3 months, but don't do leasing!

He says he is never going to cornwall again lol, he has had two come all at once he isn't some sort of loon he was going 80 on the a30, its just a cash grab. Think the plan is him and his wife are going to take a speed awareness each.

You've posted a fair amount of detail for the safety camera partnership there lol.

Typically 'Asian gangs' don't operate on the side of the road so that may make it a little difficult for the safety camera partnership to do much about it.

Its a good job you pointed out the speeders ethnicity as well, would have been a very different story without that
I don't the current policing agendas amusing, my daughter was friendly with some girls who tried to run away to oxford as they were lured there!

She got on a train one day and ended up 74 miles away at 3am and on the way to get her police said she is with another missing girl, can I bring back 3 14 year old girls in my car! Do you think that acceptable as I doubt the police had done and safe guarding checks for a loan male? They don't know I have SC clearance I doubt!

This always having resources for minor speeding offences surely is not ideal, 81mph on the a30 is not a crime.

Speaking of topics, maybe try staying on topic and start your own thread about kids being groomed rather than dropping it into a thread about NIP timescales?

A lot of threads on here go off topic and they do for pages the mods pounced, because I mentioned a racial group because people are scared to speak!

Back on topic over 3 months to get a NIP to a lease car customer is standard?

Who cares if it's "standard" or not? If it's legal (which it would appear to be), then it stands.
