can someone help me understand how the car insurance procedure works when there is an accident

my situation at the moment is, ive had an accident

both me and the third party deny liabilty

so what happens now?

as far as i know there are no witnesses and no cctv

how do they determine the person at fault

Contact damage forensic evidence if goes that way, so don't tell any lies, and demand it if other driver is clearly at fault though even then sometimes it gets foggy.

Direction of contact/force, paint comes off in a certain way/direction and metal will show signs of how cars came into contact to help determination, if expensive claim and one insurer wants to really avoid paying out believing they shouldn't.

Not strictly applicable in all accidents though, like backing into someone.

This is normally for high value claims or total demand for it from customer, or where insurer wants to push a dispute and build a strong evidence package, some accidents can't really go that way, like slow speed bumper to pumper, claim of what occurred will be a big factor but other PHs will likely explain normal scenarios or want to hear it to give a more accurate reply.

You are correct. A lot of times it won't be too helpful.

More a tool in the bag for certain circumstances, if someone coming towards was over line etc. and took your mirror off and scraped wing, its of little use, some scenarios will use the Contact evidence to discredit a story, but the scenario has to allow it.

What did the other driver say straight after the accident? Peoples first reactions are very telling

Accident Circumstances, Your VOE, TP VOE, Accident Location, Area of damage, Caselaw, Witnesses, CCTV, thats pretty much it.

What happened, If you give a bit of detail, someone might be able to give you a bit of help with it.

They are obviously using PH as a test bed for the AI.

Perhaps it because it represents a cross-section of society in the UK. Presumably the algorithm "learns" from the replys to the bot's responses.

I'm struggling as to why PH allows this sort of thing?

Congratulations, you just ruined the next Alexa upgrade.

Will have to start this all again, mumsnet turned out to always order nappies and piston heads it turned into an A hole of a powerfully built director, complaining about where people park and trying to order cars, wonderful.

so basically , i was on my motorbike heading towards the third party

third party was intending to turn right in to petrol station

so he has stopped and was indicating

there was a car in front of me

i have then overtaken the car in front of me on the right on the white line not on the other side of the road

he has then committed to the turn

as i overtake and return to the center of the lane i hit him

i hit him in the passenger rear quarter on my side of the road.

he claims its my fault, apparently i was going to fast
