You know that area? I’m not sure to be honest. I know that van was on the opposite of the road.

I wouldn’t be annoyed that you got the points while doing someone a favour - more that there’s a very easy way to make sure they can’t catch you speeding

No excuse for speeding. I was annoyed because I should have been in Suffolk however I went to Rasen as a favour for someone.

If I had been in Suffolk as originally planned I wouldn’t have been driving at that moment - if that makes sense.

NIP's have to be posted in order to reasonably arrive with the RK within 14 days.

Yours wasn't even issued within 14 days, so isn't valid

NIP's have to be posted in order to reasonably arrive with the RK within 14 days.

So to clarify - offence occurred 27 July. NIP issued 11 August. NIP delivered 16 August.

So is it valid or do I contest it on the grounds as mentioned above?

I think that NIP falls outside the 14 day rule and I’d be contesting it.

If op hasn't got the V5 yet could they have sent the nip to the previous keeper and they've named the op that's why theyve received it now?

Maybe not if the notice was initially sent to the previous keeper.

OP needs to know when the V5 information was updated.
