Oops. On my way to football, I got clocked at 87 on the A19....

Seems i'd only be offered a speed awareness course if I was doing 79 to 86mph....

Automatic 3 points? Or 6?

Bother.

Driven on the A19 for years, guarantee it's the bit at the top approaching the A1 junction 49 speed camera van pointing at the traffic, coming off that junction heading south on the A19 there's always a camera van parked in the layby, as stated I've been travelling this route for 20 plus years, I've been held up no more than twice by traffic accidents causing gridlock. These vans are surely just for revenue production. Or do North Yorks police believe that every driver heading out of Teesside has to have 3 points?

In the old days, it was just a talking to by the ref, and told to calm down.
We've all gone soft now.

Be thankful VAR wasn't involved, depending on whether your'e one of the favoured cars (red cars from Salford being particularly favoured) or not you would either be...

Commended for your ability to masterly and skilfully control a vehicle at such a high speed

If you’ve been driving it for 20+ years, you haven’t been taking much notice, because it’s the A168 which joins the A1(M) at J49…the A19 goes due South down through York
