38 is FNP so 3 points and £100 if you accept the conditional offer, unless you want to role the dice and go for court which will almost always be more with victim surcharge unless your broke.
With any luck one PH Brake members will pop along to lecture you on killing children and tell you that 38 in 30 is a FATAL 5 and your one step removed for a murderer taking such a liberty.

Yes I believe once the FPN is sent within the 14 days to registered keeper they have 6 months from time of offence to set a court date or process your acceptance and add the endorsement.Ok, thanks
So I assume we are around 6-8 weeks since the offence, so they could take 4 months.
It goes to the SEU and then they send the licence for endorsement, fine goes to MOJ.

Last time I had one of these it was 36 in 30 right passed the 40 sign on what used to be red light camera and I was offered a SAC on the first FPN. That was about 6 years ago now.
Probs a SAC. I was done for 36 in a 30 for zero seconds (and then 31 on the second reading) and got a SAC. Annoying as it was a 60 to 30 into a village. Last caught in 2007.
Cost £90 for a virtual course (yet to take). I'm happy enough with the outcome and just see it as a cost of motoring now.

ds even have the front to charge you £30 if you need to change the date after booking it......or for a 'small' £5 charge you can re-arrange it as much as you want....Anyways.....My SAC was 2.5 hours long and we had a fairly good group and had a bit of a laugh as well. I can't say the person who led the SAC was condescending or anything which is how I thought the course would be, with us saying sorry a million times....

The OP asked for a time limit, as there is no time limit on them replying to you (Other than 6 Mths). So I believe the criteria is 10% + upto 8mph (could be less dependent on initial limit and the and the police force enforcing the restriction) to be offered the SAC.
That bit I'm fairly confident on that part but I thought being able to take one was a one time affair? If you qualify on your first offence you get one, but if you don't or it's your 2nd+ offence, you never get that opportunity?
