I got caught at 59 in a 50 and I’ve an insurance renewal coming up, will it show as sp50?
(No speed awareness course offered)

It's perhaps unfortunate that someone chose the numbers 30 & 50 for these codes because many people (myself included) thought for years that it referred to the speed limit in force at the time of the offence.

No, it seems to be the road number that is used, if the above is anything to go by.
A fine on the M69 would give your insurers a laugh at renewal time if it is. getmecoat
