Just got one through the door, no denying I did it but wondering if having just attended a funeral & having 2 very small humans in the back in need to a break & feed may count towards my circumstances & avoid 3pts.

Happy to pay a fine & it is a first offence OR just take it on the knuckles & move on with life & deal with the increased premium for next few years

Red X? Unlikely to be an increased premium.

You may well get offered the National Motorway Awareness Course rather than 3 points/£100 fine. Even with 3 points insurance wont be crazy increase, if any increase.

No, to your question, it won't help at all.

Unlikely it will increase, you don't have to tell them about it mid-term anyway & if at renewal time it goes up, just jump ship and likely actually save anyway.

They don’t always offer that. Certainly didn’t offer my wife recently and when questioned that particular force didn’t offer it.

I can't see how admitting you were distracted is going to help your case.

It might help to escalate to "driving without due care & attention" though.

I might be missing something but the "OR" in that sentence doesn't make sense to me?

Didn't realise it was 3 points. On the motorways most days , dont ignore them, but the amount that do must be raking in a few quid.

Annoying creatures that cause more hold ups trying to get out of the closed lane than rubber neckers crawling past an incident trying to film it.

If everyone got out early traffic should flow past in the open lanes. Slower, but flowing, of course it will never happen,

Everyone has to get out of the closed lane, whether before or after the red X.

Almost right. Everyone has to get out of the closed lane before the red x.
