Hi all. Received a speeding notice from Crest/Derby Police. For various but genuine reasons, v5 and licence registered at different addresses. Would this cause any sort of complications or issues for me?

Can’t see why.

So, they have traced you by the V5 address.

Is the licence address not your current address then or was the letter passed to you by A.N. Other?

I ask because IIRC I think the Licence address is an issue if not correct, but not sure if the V5 address being wrong is such an issue if you received the letter.

Others may know better and be along shortly.

The license address is correct, as it is my main residence. However, as the car has shared use/access, I have registered the car where it is kept overnight and at the address for the driver who uses the car most often. Hope that makes sense

It does, and AFAIK you should be OK, is it in your name or his?

If his, I assume he filled in original letter to say you were the driver?

No issues whatsoever.

When you reply to the 172 just put the address you want to be contacted at.

Both in my name. Letter was handed to me. I will complete the form with details as they are.
