Can anyone tell me if it is still 14 days for the NIP to be delivered to you if you have run a red light camera?

I don't condone running red lights but I was in a difficult position when turning right at a junction in Bath 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

They must post it to you within 14 days, not you recieving it within 14 days.

Has either to be sent to Reg Keeper in 14 days or served personally on driver within 14 days or verbally at the scene.

Same as speeding, due care, etc etc.

When we were having hassle over a nip, which resulted us attending court, the 'police' position was only that they had to SEND nip within 14 days. This is to allow for the driver not being the keeper, or the keeper/driver is on holiday, etc etc.

The police (or speeding authority or scamera partnership or whatever they were called) evidence consists of a computer generated staement that states that the paperwork has been raised and posted. There's no onus to use registerd post etc, no onus to ensure that the driver has recieved it.

Meant to say that the next piece of paperwork we recieved was the summons. And once that's been issued there's no way out, you have to go to court.

It was a bit silly, 'cos once they have printed their evidence that states they've posted it, they're at liberty to send out as many nips as they want. I mean, you can't really deny you've not recieved all of them, can you? (If you catch my drift).

We/I got off, though.
