New chief constable for road policing
Discussion
As we all know Brunstom has finally stepped away from the poisoned chalice
Not quite sure to make of his replacement (announced in today's Sunday Times). Apparently it will be Meredydd Hughes who is CC of South Yorks.
The man holds 6 points, one from a Gatso in Sheffield at 6am and another from a talivan in South Wales :hehe:
He wants all speed cameras to be mobile and hidden :ranting: but he does recognise the damage that speed cameras have caused to the relationship between public and police.
However he's also a firm advocate of variable speed limits and also devices using lasers to catch tailgaters.
Seems he's got half of the message, but missed the other half. Very new labour

He's got 6 points so therefore it can be safely inferred that he regularly breaks limits and thus confirms what most think - that current limits are largely irrelevant, but he advocates more cameras and hidden too.
Is he "in two minds"?
(I was going to suggest something like barking mad, but thought I'd better not).
