Last Wednesday I was nearly T-boned by a squad car shooting out of a side road and not seeing me. Two male PCs got out and apologised profusely etc, confirmed I was okay (Yes,I had my lights/seatbelts on and they were not being called to an emergency) I took note of their plate just for information.

2 days later I am my mum's car and get ready to turn left and a lorry cuts across me to take the turn early. Note a police car is behind this lorry and assume they may pull him over. Meanwhile I turn left and the squad car follows me, subsequently pulling me over because it transpires'the vehicle is registered to a woman'. I show ID to the two WPCs and confirm the owner. When I asked why they hadn't stopped the lorry driver, one remarks "Oh yeah, that" . Same one then asks me 'have you ever been in trouble with the police?' (Cliche?) I reply in the negative and then remark that I was nearly driven into by a squad car the other day. I then look at their numberplate and there it is - the same squad car!

So, what next . . . . . . it happens in threes . . . .(Cue 'Twilight Zone' music . . )

You should have asked them for their police ID, as the same car had a different driver before.

On a serious note though, perhaps this would be a benefit of the computerised central insurance system. I am all in favour of stopping uninsured cars.
