Mad Doc has posted this on Safepeed site recently - but did anyone catch the radio Two Vine prog about 1.pm on Thursday? Worthy of a "listen again" 
It seem Vine's scouts were up und down country reporting that they had seen far too many drivers still clutching these wretched thing to ear like baby hang on to his "moo blanket"
Lots of callers condemning Handy phone use und some claiming it to be silleist law as changing CD etc ist more "dangerous"
However, our liebste Aunty Mary was on programme - und will even agree with her comment that ist the depth of the conversation on phone which distract the most und that £30 fine ist no real deterrent to these people. I would even agree that hand free talky should be kept to minimum as ist something about phone call because person ist not "in face" which cause the deeper concentration on the talking.
But then my views on Handy - well known. Do not see why they are such an issue - but ist probably because I dislike using them anyway so keep all use to minumum.
But when the silly woman started blathering on about banning talky to passenger as well - und in-car entertainment....
For start - you could not hope to enforce - und what if driver ist talking self through hazard und not to passenger? There ist biggest difference between phone chat und chit chat with occupants of car.
Woman really does shoot herself in foot .... She should consider the THINK! advice -especially before she open mouth
