Essex reinstate Motorcyle unit

This was disbanded 6 years ago and motorcyle casualties are the worst in the region (32 killed last year). Following a report by the chief constable saying that forces that reinstate bikes see casualties drop the Police Authority voted for six bikes

I used to ride in essex alot. The thing you noticed is they would aggressivelyt police the 30 mph limits with speed traps, pull people over en-masse for loud exhausts and tiny plates. I suppose they have just realised that motorcyclists don't kill themselves in a 30mph and a loud can and small plate aren't aggravating factors.

There are some idiots riding on the roads so I think its a good move as long as they don't focus on speed alone.
