Walking up Guildford high street last night for a night out, and wakled past a Surrey Police setup outside the Friary Centre. They had 2 smashed up cars and were doing the whole "Don't drink and drive" thing, handing out leaflets, talking to people and generally being really good and sensible.

And even better, not one mention of speed. Anywhere. Nothing, zip, nada. No hidden speed kills leaflets, not kill a child not your speed posters. Just drink driving.

Good on them I say.

Surrey Police do seem to have an interesting take on road safety.

They were doing this the other week as well. Ended up having an arguement with a policeman because he would except that I don't touch a drop if I am driving, or likely to drive.

Then a fireman wouldn't believe my girlfriend when she said she didn't have a licence.

Prats.

It's uncommon, but not inaccurate, to see such a construction; with "except" used as a conjunction. Do keep up the good work - Streaky
