On Saturday night some nice ter nicked the aerial off the back of my girlfrieds brand new (8 days old) car. I was pretty hacked off. But today walking to the station I noticed pretty much every car with a bmw/vw/mini type aerial has had it stolen. Is it worth reporting this?

No, next?

Well, maybe it is, because then it will be reflected in crime stats as a minimum.

My car was vandalised once and the police DID catch the person responsible, told me his name/address* and the victim support bods sent me thirty quid. Result.

*I'll nail the one day, so help me. But revenge is a dish best eaten cold ....

This was a problem up near the outlaws place. The little gits were ignored then they got braver and anti-social behaviour changed for the worse.

ASBOs sorted them in this case, but it needed to be reported and kept being reported. Until then it was a PITA taking your aerials off every time you parked the car.

Un-PC I know but one kid who got caught with a dozen aerials in his possession got his backside kicked. It cured him.
