I've just returned from a day in the smoke - drove around the North Circular between the M4 and the Ace Cafe, and my GPS camera detector was squawking nearly all the time!

I'd just pass one camera, and enter a change in speed limit, and there's another camera!
I found that the warnings from my device were totally distracting - far better to drive normally and use your eyes.

Glad to get back into carrot-crunching country

Once you've done the route a few times it becomes second nature. Everyone speeds up and slows down at the same points (except the 20% with cloned cars!).

Turn the volume down.
Its easier to let the detector find the cameras so that you can keep an eye on the t***s that are on the road not paying attention!

the north circular between blackwall tunnel and the M11 really boils my piss with the amount of speed limit changes and cameras!

it makes me chuckle though because almost everyone cruises at 65-75mph through the 40 and 50mph zones with a wave of braking at each camera followed by a wave of caining it to get back up to speed again almost everyone does it from white vans to old ladies

Try going through that stretch at a nice even speed - people getting pissed off at you for going at the speed limit between cameras and then you have to slow down to below the limit at the cameras. bloody frustrating.

Personally, on stretches like this I can't be bothered to cane it between cameras and just relax and keep roughly to the limit. Much better mpg in the Jeep too not having to break and speed up all the time.

Has this caused any camera related crashes?

I can't quantify with figures, or fact - but from the number of accidents (there has to be at least one on the stretch from Black Prince to M11 every day) I am sure it has some contribution to these accidents.

minimax is correct though - everyone does it......... makes it very interesting when I am on my bike and trying to filter as well!
