Are you sure it was a camera van, presumably the road angel has a laser detector, or is it GPS only? If yes it should have gone off if the scammer was actively scamming.

M74 was previously speeding heaven, but now its all scamera van'd.

Was possible to do autobahn speeds all day long. Basically from M6 jct 36 to the end of the M74 is stay below 80 territory. Stick the cruise and fall asleep thats road safety!

It seemed OK southbound early afternoon yesterday. It's to be hoped I'm right!

Best wishes all,
Dave.

I work in Dumfries but live in Glasgow so am up and down the M74 quite a bit!!

Probably your only saving grace might be if the van was parked above the other side of the road, as they cannot fire the laser accross the central reservation. Other than that you might be lucky and have bald tyres and a speedo error of 10%.

Good luck. Got to stay below 80 on the M74 now.

The road at Lockerbie is the A74(M), by the way - and NOT the M74. If a NIP states it was M74 then you could contest it on the grounds of imprecise locus.

As for the threshold of speed with Dumfries scammers: it's 84mph. Anything above and you're nicked. I have that on very, very good authority.

Wait for two weeks before cracking open the champagne, although I would expect the NIP within a week, providing you're the RK.
