Balance point?

Sun today: violent crime up 4%, robbery up 11%. Is it a coincidence that speeding is up loads, yet crime figures are allegedly down? seems to me that our fears are coming true - the motorist is the new crim, and real criminals are too hard to stop or even catch. And their answer to all this? more CCTV? WTF is going on? are they blind? are we the only ones that can see the truth?

If we criminalised honest mistakes with the same recklous abandon used for motoring "offences", then most of my current client would be fined or behind bars...
