M23 Yesterday - 5 Trafpol Marked Cars
Discussion
Anyone know what was happening on the M23 just after the M25 turnoff Near Croydon?
Saw no-less than 5 TrafPol marked estates (mercs and ovoluvs) all with cars pulled over within literally 2 miles of each other, some no more than 500-600 yards apart.
About 2-2:30 yesterday. Just seemed strange to see so many people pulled over in such a short space of time, ALL by marked cars, plus a couple heading down lane 3 with blues on as well.

Sounds similar to the A1(M) last week (Wednesday) where there were 5 marked cars plus a motorcycle, all engaged in stopping vehicles. I assumed it was an ANPR check, but I didn't see the van.
And street crime is up...no I won't go there!
Yes, dont get your Motorways and Streets mixed up

I did see a ANPR crew at the Gatwick Junction of the M23 the other day. Couple of marked cars on the roundabout for the motorway, and another down by the entrance to Gatwick itself, then I saw two cars stopped by marked cars as well.
So my guess is that somewhere there was a ANPR van.
