Doing 60 past a Gatso, on a 60 limit.

Origin B2 said I was under 60, speedo showed 60 yet flashed by Gatso.

Start of a 14 day wait or is this typical?

If you were doing 60 and the limit was 60 then you should hear nothing more. Even if you were flashed, the scammer clerk viewing the photo should realise you were not speeding and bin the photos accordingly.

If you do hear more, the Gatso photos will show distance travelled (from the timing marks) plus the duration between the photos. Your actual speed can be calculated from these numbers.

The only possible pitfall would be the misreporting by the Gatso timer of the photo duration...(ie if 0.5s was stated but interval was actually 0.7s - at a true 60mph this would show 84mph )

Actually, thinking about it, a green volvo estate was slowly undertaking me, as I slowed for the camera.

Would this trigger the camera and would it show him going faster than me or would his speeding look as though I was?

It was the go faster estate version with 4 aerials on the roof....

Yes, by the distance travelled.

If that's the case then I don't expect Mr Volvo driver will be hearing anymore either..

What would a green volvo estate be then - unmarked police car or something more sinister?
