What the hell was happening tonight?!
Half way between M40 and M4 we were given a 60 limit, then 50 limit, then lanes 1,2 had a 20 limit and lanes 3,4 had a 40 limit.
Next lanes 1,2 had the red X meaning get out! This prohibted people from exiting on to the M4 (which was open...). The section past terminal 5 then had lanes 1-3 closed off (jc 14 closed). The 20 limit signs were intermittent between gantries, sometimes none, sometimes 1 lane, sometimes 2 lanes. The outside lane always had a 40 limit.
Brakes were being slammed on left, right and centre - a few accidents were narrowly avoided.
Needless to say, no work was being done
