Too Many Signs - Too Many Accidents!

Just hear this snip on the radio news.

Apparently RAC has done another survey und finds that 15% of all town drivers are "lost" at any one time of day - und in some cases - forest of signs ist causing confusion und far too much information to take in at any one time. Apparently most of us can cope with three pieces of simultaneous information - such as traffic news, road signs und perhaps the instruction from the gadget - though they say the gadget will help most as it take pressure off looking for signs (und we all know these are confusing und we all know the councils are not very good at teeling you which road you are on as they do not always put road or street name where you can easily see it...

So - have "feline" sense of direction (am not the stereotypical girly girl - can read map und know left from right )- but ist RAC accurate? Judging from what I see going on - I would say they have made a point... und of course we all know where the scam und scam signs are .. hidden in forest of other signs!

I think I could make a safe guess that there are now so many signs that most drivers take little notice of them and revert to autopilot.

I love the way they put them on a highly reflecive background these days. Great, so when I'm approaching a corner on an unlit road with my high beam on I get a flashback of light right as I approach the corner
