Something strange has happend over the past 2 days.....

Coming back from Blackpool to Manchester about 5pm yesterday on the M61 doing 75 as it was a bit slippy and not ideal in a TVR, in the middle lane (going past a stream of lorries) by the Botany Bay building, going up the hill when a police range rover comes flying up the outside lane, all guns and lights blazing, I could see him come on at the junction (he wasnt on the bridge or the slip road as I know their tricks ) anyways, as he comes along side me, he slows right down, lights still going, and takes a good look at the car and then buggers off again at high speed lights still going...?????

Then I got onto the M60, going into the roadworks at the trafford center, same bloody thing happens again with a police range rover. Now I dont speed in roadworks, something I have NEVER ever done. But before he comes belting up and minute or so before there was a range rover on the opposite side and as we approached each other I could see him looking at the TVR.

I will admit I can push the car, but not over the past few weeks as the weather and road conditions wont allow me to, unless I want to be facing the otherway very quickly indeed.

Then tonight (about 30 mins ago) on the way back from ASDA near the Man City football ground when a traffic car going the opposite way, turns round and follows me back home. He carried on when I turned into my street.

I have no lights out, everything is working as it should be and I am not being silly with the car in this weather...so what the hell is going on.?

Any ideas anyone..? TBH its getting to be a bit disconcerting.

Maybe there's a shout over a Tiv like yours, half-inched recently maybe, and they're checking it out? Or maybe reports of a similar car being driven a bit iffy. They all seem to get the right result in the end though...

I did the topless thing the other weekend, and I turned into a popsicle.

Dunno about the iffy driving, atm I am so careful I was wheelspinning in 3rd on the way back from ASDA so no F1 style driving from me.

Maybe the have seen you speeding afew months ago and are just letting you know they are about,or one of them could have seen a lady driving a TVR and told all his mates and they are checking you out

Not been stopped yet (touch wood). I wouldnt mind if they had stopped me, it would stop me wondering what the hell was going on.

Round Greater Manc they tend to have a good look at anything that's nickable and desirable, just in case. Me 200SX attracts a lot of attention from them for that reason.

Good thing really...
