Have they changed the rules about red lights?
Discussion
On at least 4 occassions in the past week as i have been approaching road works on the M6 in the Birmingham area, its gone down to one lane and the overhead signs have shown a red cross in lanes 2 and 3 and 50mph in lane 1.
I thought you were`nt supposed to continue in the lane showing red ( so you move over into lane 1)a friend of mine got done for it about 12 years ago.
So whats the crack now then, have they changed the wording or is it just that Joe Public does`nt give a stuff these days?.

Yup, it is deffinataly a big no no, but I would be very woried about stopping if every lane had theres on, in fact I would reduce my speed down to a crawl and carry on because 1, I don't trust other drivers to obey them, (as in the example above) and 2, if some thing has happened I may be able to help, maybe?!?
