I'm picking up my new car but it doesn't have tax. I can get it on Wednesday morning but have to get the car home first. I won't be able to drive for a week after Wednesday as I'm having a general anaesthetic so really want to get the car home before I'm out of action.
When I last bought a used car that didn't have tax, I drove it straight to the nearest post office (a couple of miles) before driving it home. Could you do something like that?
We're not getting it until the evening so unfortunately not. I might suggest just waiting til I'm recovered then getting a tax disc before driving it home but not sure if the guy will want it at his place after it's sold
