Cling film on cameras!
Discussion
It would have an effect for sure - and after a while condensation will build up and act like fog, then the material could go translucent in direct sunlight, but if you're a middle class white male taxpayer it probably attracts a longer jail sentence than daylight robbery (which it tries to alleviate
) so he'd better watch out...
) so he'd better watch out...Haha i saw that today on top gear, i think the builders expanding foam idea is better. I think what ramsey was getting at is the impact the flash on film would have to the image.
Its so much easier to just use hairspray or theres special reflective spray you can get which reflects light
its available online very easily!

...the demographic of the people mostly caught in the first place...and those least likely to have an accident...what a system!

A bit of nail varnish remover on the lens would probably have the same effect. I can't see how wrapping in cling film will be invisible unless the scamerati are completely blind.
Can't see how nail varnish remover would work. Won't it just evaporate leaving no residue? Or has it got some secret and mysterious optical properties?.

Etches the plastic. Try it on your mobile phone screen for a bit ...

James here:
Unfortunately you need a firearms certificate to buy these and they are very hard to get hold of. SG shot is legal on a shotgun ticket and contains 9 pellets at 36g. Personally I'd go for AAA but fill with wax and allow to cool before use...
This is used for shooting hinges out of doors and I'm sure would work well on cameras, however you'll probebly get found out easily..
Where is that builders foam.

I rather think a solid 12 guage round is more effective at stopping the speed camera.

It won't go for perspex. And anyway, it's bullet-proof glass, isn't it? So hydrofluoric acid would be what you'd need. Just make sure the bottle doesn't dribble in your pocket or your leg'll fall off.

But very nicely frosted if it's a glass one

Would it be possible or safe to generate some kind of directed electro magnetic pulse to knock out the electronics in the camera? (This is a purely hypothetical question, as I'm sure the security services will be monitoring this
to the MI5 person reading this
)
I assume that there is a way of doing without having to:
1. Set off a nuclear device (I don't think even I hate speed cameras that much.)
2. Fry all the electrics in your own car
Any physics / electronics folks in the know?
