Traffic calming on off slip from Dual Carriageway
Discussion
A simple question for someone for sure..... what is the legal minimum distance that a district council can sign post a 30MPH speed limit, from the exit from an arterial dual carriageway with no advance warning from the main carriageway. The off slip is no more than 100 metres long and has a slight left hand bend, then a sighting distance of less than 60 metres to an obscured 30 sign.

Just for info mr9lt have seen somewhat similar circumstances off a jn on M6.
Curving slip road which splits, limit technically 70 though to be fair one should peg back to around 50-ish in normal circumstances.
Just round the bend approaching road works confronted by a 20 with no prior warning.
Somewhat unamusing.

for your information you canot refer to Metres on a British road sign by the way it is illegal, did you know that?
As I understand things, this isn't entirely true. All measurements must be shown in imperial, but certain types of sign (height and width restrictions for sure) may also show the metric equivalent.
