Congestion charge query

I was in London last week, Tooting Bec area, and headed north through the city to get back home (to the M1 > Manchester)
I skirted around Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch (I think), heading North from the river. Is the CC active there? I'm positive I didn't see any signage, but hey this is Red Ken and I wouldn't put it past them....

I assume you use the term "the city" as more of a generalisation of London as opposed to "the city" (financial district) which is out to the east, would have been way out of your way so pretty sure not. Sounds like you have headed up Park Lane and onto the Edgware Road (A5), as long as you didn't stray right of Park Lane, which sits smack on the western boundary, you would have been fine. Edgware Road would take you up to Brent Cross and that sort of area where you can join the M1 so this makes sense. It is pretty clearly marked at most points when you are entering so am sure you are ok.
Weekday.
TomTom was navigating me, its the latest version for mobile phones. I'm pretty sure it should tell me if I go into a CC area?
http://maps.google.com/?ll=51.501584,
I've just made it replot the route, its saying go north over Queenstown bridge, northwest up Chelsea Bridge Road, northeast at Sloane Square Station up Eaton Square, then north up Grosvenor Place, straight over Hyde Park Corner onto Park Lane, then around that funny 'roundabout' at Marble Arch and up Edgeware Road.
I'm pretty certain I didn't venture off that route. I definitely remember going under Edgeware Road station, the bridge is pretty big.
