Posted this in another forum last week, awaiting a fine through the post any day.

"I don't know whether this is going to be of a concern to us commuters but there was a very suspicious 'Smart' car with blacked out windows with logo's saying 'Lambeth CCTV' parked at the end of Larkhall Lane where it joins Priory Grove. You can no longer drive down Priory Grove in a car going east from Larkhall Lane but there is a cycle path you can nip down on a bike, only about 10yds worth, this helps cut out part of Wandsworth Road.

The Smart was parked just near the road junction, don't know whether he was having breakfast, a maintenance vehicle (strange type of car though, no luggage space) or something more sinister. If it is the latter then I and the guy on the green ZX6R bought from 'WheelPower' are

Has anyone else seen these cars and do you know what they are?"

Saw another of the pesky blighters today on the way into work so I thought it might be worth alerting fellow 'PistonHeads'.

I know what they are now!

Had a transit sized van one come up behind me yesterday on the way to costco watford before the bridge over the m1. It had flashing police lights, mobile cctv on it and lots of cameras.

Having read the list of offences I think it sounds like a good thing - always assuming that the camera vehicles are parked legally and safely of course.

Always appeal, and do so within the 14 days. This will (a) clog up the system and thereby (b) tend to make it unprofitable.

This is also another set of "fines" contrary to the Bill of Rights.
