Well my missus totalled our last car (into the back of my gaffers new range rover, but that's another story). Luckily for me, my brother has his own garage. He has a little runabout which is perfect for us. Only needs an MOT and tax and we're away. Now obviously I have to change our insurance details to the new car, and my brother spends all day today getting it through its test. All I have to do is tax it.
New insurance certificate will be posted on Monday, and it hasn't been put onto the DVLA database yet, so can't get it through the website. It will of course mean a trip to the post office sometime next week.
Amazing the power of a 3 inch paper disk ! Would I dare to drive it until that disk is in my hand............not a bloody chance.
I'm sure most of the BiB on here would be happy about me having the cheque/mot/form with me until I could get it, but alas we no longer use common sense. I would even be happy to go to the local cop shop and produce it when it arrived as I once did in the past.

Hey ho, happy days............

Just checked with the DVLA website, and the insurance is now on the database.
