Driving down the M5 yesterday I passed a police car doing (according to my speedo anyway) about 73mph. I came up to him quite fast (ahem) and then slowed right down and crept past at an indicated 74-77 which took ages. Once past I was into a lovely long nearly empty stretch of road as traffic was pilling up behind the police car...
He exhibited interesting driving. He drove down the middle lane most of the time but every now and again decided on the inside lane, pulling over so quickly that one car behind flashed him, after a minute he pulled out again.
Now when I drive down the middle lane of the motorway at 70 I believe I annoy the hell out of everybody and cause a tailback. Can't the police drive at 65 or 60 and left people get past properly damn it...
