And speak to you like dirt either ! fair enough i hadn't got my belt on when I set off (which was stupid i know) but left me fairly pissed off when said " do you not understand they are there for a reason, its stupid prats like you that waste so much of our time " hmmm im sure that "prats" like me pay a portion of your wages I felt like saying !
but for fear of a full van inspection and time off work for the inevitable producer, I refrained and promptly apologised ..... AAAAGGGGGHHHH !!!!

...you mean, to get video evidence that he stuck rigidly within the letter of the law while sticking you on for the full summons instead of FPN or bollocking?

Yeah yeah that was just a side rant, on the topic though, I know most of our fuzzies are quite reasonable, law abiding, accident stopping assets to society vomit But on some occasions it could be quite benificial to have a bit of evidence on your side.?!

So are you also going to be videoing your speedometer for the plod to see? or your bad overtaking manouvre?
Show the plod evidence from the black box in your car etc.
It can work both ways.

If you decide to fight for the points it could be helpful. The two officers in my case couldn't even remember the other cars in the vicinity when I questioned them.

Theres no law to stop you filming the conversation in a public place.

Do it on the side of a motorway or a busy road and I suppose the officer could stop you, citing safety reasons (perfectly valid tbh).

If you are expecting to be pulled by the police and have the wonga to do it, why not equip yourself with a hidden camera and microphone? Then you don't fail the attitude test, but if being reasonable fails you can hand the footage over to mr freeman.

Talking of seat belts, I took great delight in writing to the Chief Constable of Dundee pointing out that 4 plods in car number so and so, of which NEITHER of them were wearing seatbelts, and what message did that give joe public.

Got a wonderfull response, made me feel good for a few seconds.

Fire & Police are exempt in law.
Only Police driving regs say that they should wear them, unless at certain times which they can justify.
