Ordred some new plates online for my daughtes car, first set did not turn up, supplier sent another set, did not turn up !!! supplier sent a third set recorded delivery, turned up next day. This is a big supplier not some back street d*ckhead and I have used them before, but now there is two sets of plates missing in the postal system.
Do I report it to the police, just to have it on record ??

I would do, when the NIPs land on the door mat your life will prob be made a bit easier. Keep some kind of proof that they were sent but did not arrive (if you can).

Report it to the post office too!! Looks like they might have some organised crime on their hands. Might only be a lowlife at the PO end but he's probably supplying someone....

As DVLA have introduced the totally foolproof system for secure number plate manufacturing, I am sure you will have sent off your V5 to the supplier.

They surely wouldn't have been crass enough to send it back with the first set of plates, would they?

On the other hand, maybe you have just bought some display plates, in which case the police won't be interested as you cannot use them on a UK registered car anyway ...
