HI,

Bit worried as on Saturday I passed under the services about an hour south of Manchester on the M6 and looked up to see a Police van with 3 different cameras on tripods.

Since getting 8 points in one month (2 and only offences ever) 2 years ago, I have really been careful about sticking to 75mph cruise controlled on Mways. I know my car over reads so it should be about 70-72mph and "safe".

On this occasion, I had just put my foot down to pass a van that was going about 2 mph slower in the middle lane.

I may have been reading about 82 or so as I saw the van and I hit the brakes.

Wondering what CCTV van means as a pose to Scamera van?

Really worried now!

It will be ANPR, so you have nothing to worry about unless your vehicle is not taxed or insured.

Phheewww!

Isn't it just like the thing though.

I am now a non speeder and try very hard to drive well and safely, but the one time I do venture (safely) over the limit, there is a darn van there to capture the moment!

I could have cried all the way to Manchester!

Thanks
Greg

I'm on eleven points (it's a long story), but had the same thing happen to me recently, 80mph and then 14 days of waiting...

Is the 14 day this for real. Is it 14 calender days or working days? It would be nice to know when I can stop worrying!!
