Following on from my previous thread - is it possible to be flashed by a digiscamera and not get a fine?

I'm reasonably sure I'm ok with front facing cameras... hehe

But the one that took my picture was from behind rage

I seem to recall that for insurance etc photos from digital cameras are deemed unacceptable? If so how come they are OK for scameras?

Only if it's under trial, otherwise I reckon you're stuffed. Was the camera a Redspeed?

Perhaps it's because of image compression? I believe that TIFFs/BMPs are OK (so long as the proper data transfer/storage procedure is followed)

'Fraid so. What's worse is I was travelling in the middle of a convoy and none of the other cars in the group got flashed, so it's not like we were racing or I was travelling in any way dangerously. That and it was about 4.30 am and otherwise completely deserted. If I suffer for this I think it'll be about time to start planning on leaving this poxy country.

What a crock of shit.

Actually, it's because 'they' changed the law. Digital photos used to be unacceptable in evidence as they can be altered. This was inconvenient for the scameras so the law was changed.

Did they change the law for "us" as well as "them"?
