advice please on a dodgy insurance claim
Discussion
A colleague's son had an accident in his car in the summer where he was going to turn right and a motorbike rode up the outside and they collided.
There was a police report and witnesses saying that he didn't indicate long enough.
Anyway the colleague has just recieved a letter from some lawyers claiming for a long list of repairs, cost of a new bike, wear and tear on clothing and time spent by the injured party etc....basically everything bar the kitchen sink.
Now the thing is part of the name listed on police report is different to the one submitted by the lawyer, which instantly arouses suspicions.
I recommended that she let the police see sight of the letter and let her insurance company know of her concerns. Does anyone have any further advice to add?
