Govt to sponsor prime time PSCO programme.
Discussion
Apparently the Home Office is to sponsor a prime time fly-on-the-wall series on ITV1.
6 x 30 minute episodes on Police Community Support Officers.
Beat:Life on the Streets, will cost the taxpayer an undisclosed amount.
That's on top of the £50 million they have cost so far with, according to a Home Ofice report, quote "no discernible impact on local crime rates." end quote.

The government has absolutely no right or business whatsoever being involved in television production.
They should keep their stinking noses out, and try running the public services, as we pay them to do.

Television productions aim to make money so maybe there will be a profit. I once asked the police to come and deal with the parent parking situation around our local school. They sent along a couple of PCSOs. The difference was dramatic. All the selfish parkers stayed away. Great job. Of course they all came back when the coast was clear.
