To any Trafpol on here thanks
Discussion
Just had my TVR catch fire whilst travelling down the A1 near the A47 turn off.
TVR is a burnt out wreck but fortunately, we all got out unscathed.
Thanks to the Trafpol who attended the scene and to the other officer (I only know that he was a Cambridgeshire firearms officer). Who very kindly looked after my stepson, whilst I organised recovery of what is left of my car and gave us a lift to the railway station to get back to London.
I understand that under the points system currently underway, they will get no credit for what they did (but would have got points for giving people fix penalty tickets).
The policeman concerned acted professionally and swiftly to make the scene safe and get traffic moving. Well done.
PS I'll be back this up with a letter to copshop.

Speed camera wouldn't have been a lot of use would it?
Hope you are all ok, and that your insurance will sort out the car issues for you.

Gives you faith eh! There are a few good coppers out there! The bad ones tar their name. They should get a reward for things like that.
Hope everything works out for you, sorry to hear about the TVR

Thats what most officers do all the time. Ask GB or any officer on here. They don't excpect nor would ask for anything. I thank-you is more than enough. I'm sorry but some posters on here have a very narrow and incorrect view of the police based on very little evidence or just one or two bad experiences. I don't judge every student or lawyer based on what I see.
