Not 100% sure if this is in the right sub-section but I'm sure it'll get moved if in the wrong.

Is there a time limit between the time of an accident to the time you place the claim on the other persons insurance?

Do you have to do this within a certain amount of time of the crash?

An obvious answer I am afraid, but I'd ask your insurance company. The sooner the better would seem a good idea. Otherwise can't help, sorry.

6 years would be the time limit for negligence (except for any Personal Injury which would be three years).

The time limit is different if jouvanile is injured in an RTA. I think they have until age 18 to lodge a claim, if longer than the limits given above.

Actually, I THINK it is six years from the date of majority, but would have to go and look that up, and can't be bothered right now....But of course, in order to take action now, one can use a Litigants Friend on behalf of the child.
