Is this pessimistic, or realistic?
If I sent my licence off to the DVLA, I could get it back completely clean. But I really don't see the point.
With scameras everywhere and talivans being manned by uniform-fixated jobsworth sh1tes who were probably picked on at school, I might as well drive however I like wherever I like.
Speeding is becoming so widespread, it's beginning to feel like a non-offence. More like a parking offence, in fact. How many of you think twice about stopping on double-yellows if you have to go somewhere? How many bother to pay and display on a street if you haven't got the right change? Not me, I just accept that every now and again I'll get a ticket.
So if the number plate falls off the front of my car again, I guess that could be a fine. And if I'm in a hurry (but not through town), I guess there's a fair chance I could lose my licence for a while.
And then what? When losing your licence becomes commonplace it will become less of a deterrant. Guess then it'll be time for tougher sentancing on speeders...
