There's no SP60 any more.
It was frequently issued in error and withdrawn after someone had a go at them.

from the days when I used to have hire cars this is the list I have:-
SP10 Exceeding goods vehicle speed limit
SP20 Exceeding speed limit for type of vehicle (excluding goods or passenger vehicles)
SP30 Exceeding statutory speed limit on public road
SP40 Exceeding passenger vehicle speed limit
SP50 Exceeding motorway speed limit
SP60 Undefined speed limit offence.
it may of course be out of date and I haven't got time to check up
if they are still current codes SP30 of course is the correct endorsement for your offence

Agreed.
I was given an SP30 at magistrates court, but when my a got my new address on my licence after my appeal at crown court it magically turned into an SP60.
One of the joys of driving in North Wales.

SP60 Undefined speed limit offence.
Any examples? Reversing too quickly??
Breaking the limit on a car park or park etc is I think the reason it was there.
I hasten to add I will bet a lot of money that 99% of the times it was put on somones licence it was wrong.

'Cos fixed camera's are set at NSL for passenger vehicles, therefore allowing HGV's to cruise at higher speeds than their limit...

Gatso's can also identify between cars/vans and HGV's separately. For example, if the speed limit was 60mph for cars/vans and 40mph for HGV's the camera will enforce the two separate limits.

Some Gatso's can also tell the difference between a car and HGV, so if for instance the limit was 60mph for cars and for HGV's it was 40mph, if HGV's pass the threshold of approximately 45-50mph the camera would be triggered.

Further to that mobile site operators can also make the definition. I remember this from a past case where it came down to whether the vehicle was classed as a passenger vehicle or a bus - the defendant was over the limit for one but not the other.
